Like pulling out the sextant given by his X wife as a gift. It still had the card (which I don't think he ever read) and then reading the instructions trying to figure it out. Personally I use our portable Garman. Or when he filled the jerry can and screwed the cap on but forgot to check the vent.

Why no EPIRB? Or even Spot or God forbid an SSB. Hell he was single handing in the Indian Ocean.

I enjoyed it but thought it was dumb.
