Your daughter will go places, I can tell.
Complete surprise to me, mine. She had several interviews in NYC(my SIL has many connections and lives there). MJ was in the food field(sustainable ag. etc) in her job search. She had a couple good offers. But one was an internship, the other with a start up, each of which she had reservations about.
Then she did some baby sitting for an architect, who's connected to the building firm, and there we are.
Total surprise to me! She liked the people there, the varied art/interior design aesthetic they're immersed in, the marketing media side. She was one of many applicants. Her degrees(UK), International Relations and Spanish. But she immediately went up the candidate scale when her resume' included painting for her father last summer. Seems the founder of the firm did the same thing for his father, and well, that's how the world works.
I handed my daughter the ladders, brushes, pails, etc. She rarely came to me for any help(we texted back and forth all day about others on the project ). Having done almost no exterior painting like this, she painted the finish coat on this entire building with great skill-start to finish.
Now she sends me pdfs of floor plans of Manhattan high-rise apartments costing 12,500.00/ square foot, and asks me questions!
