I knew of a big Oyster that was hit 3 times in as many years.

() They were really despondent. Every time they were hit all electronics had to be replaced. This was in the Western Caribbean and each time it took months to make repairs.
We had lightening strike all around us with a few strikes not more than a couple hundred feet away and the only damage was the need to reinstall the software.
Why some boats are hit and others aren't is a mystery to me.
