The latest rescue is in; Three French sailors in their 70's rescued 1200nm off Cape Cod.
I swear, if this keeps happening, I'm gonna start to believe...

Nah, just seems to me in recent memory...
Maybe it simply because 20 years ago they simply disappeared... no rescue request received...
Hmm, makes you wonder which is worse.....
Maybe the old way was better. Kinda like how we used to put the old people on ice flows winter's end.

And people are becoming less independent...
Kind of a blanket statement. Most of the people I know maintain their own boats.
I don't know anyone with 'big' sailboats out here anymore......
