I had a calculation error in the low number

Using your data, the air demand comes toto about half that calculated by simple swept volume times rpm. That seems reasonable to me

On the subject of ventilation, we presently have a pretty hot engine room when the exhaust fan does not run. Air intake is by general leakage, with no specific duct.

I plan to add a cold air intake about 2-3" diameter, so that the cool air will hit on the alternator area
