I'm no fan of internet speculation, which it was on my part, so please accept my apology.
You were wise to be there taking footage. Your video is a valuable tool. If someone watches it, they will think twice about entering that inlet in rough conditions.
As wrong as it went, your video may save someone from an even worse outcome.
