It was an epic delivery, major 12 volt charging system redo before we left CT. Wind on the nose heading for the canal, then engine pooped out 4 hrs north/east of the canal. Sailed her back to Castine, got to the mooring @ 0100 hrs Friday night/Sat morn. Had to put the dinghy on the hip and push her in with the 2.5 yamaha working hard.
The best part of the trip was going through Muscle Ridge Channel with winds NNW @ steady 20 knts gusts to 25+. maintained 7- 7.5 knots over the ground hitting 8 more than once. As my good friend Mike said, she sails like a church, no weather helm, a very light touch on the wheel, bodes well.
Lots of work to do, still diagnosing the engine.
