When we put the 15 year old jib on the furler this spring the luff tape started tearing off the sail. Rather than throw good money after bad I ordered a new jib from our sailmaker. We had a chance to try it out in light air on a sail over to Quahog Bay the previous weekend. Along with a fairly new main and a clean bottom I was very pleased with the boat's performance. I thought the old jib still had a decent shape but the boat now points noticeably higher and moves along nicely. Looking forward to some more extensive testing as we head down east next week. No sailing photos but here's a sunset shot from across the anchorage.
