I don't know what kind they have but I remember Iain made a round trip to the local airport, 11 miles, on one! He's younger though. I like Larry, would worry about taking a cropper on one of those. We have some left over from little kid days. The wheels (Razor I think) are tiny so it only takes a small stone or pot hole and you can go ass-over bambox, pretty easily.

But a bigger wheel should be fine. I don't know how they would service? The smaller storage space and lack of hassle compared to folding bikes would be enormous.

We have two folding bikes and the space to store them but we don't use them much at all. Not worth the trouble compared to walking.
