We just got my wife a new MacBook Air
In Response To: Both my kids have gone to MacAir. They like them and my son hasn't killed his yet. Good sign. ()

I've had one for a couple years. Her old MacBook moved out to the shop for streaming Pandora. As Dan says, you could probably buy 3 cheap Windows laptops for the price of the Mac but I prefer the solid hardware and the stability of the software.
