The first boats were hauled for the year this week. The marina population is thinning out as the larger boats begin to head south and the transient population drops off. Depending a bit on weather, we have 7-8 weeks to go. Our sailboat is out of commission for a few days because I lost a seam on the leech of the genoa yesterday. It was too windy yesterday to take the sail down, so I will pull it this afternoon or tomorrow morning and have it over to the sail loft on Tuesday. Hopefully it will be reopaired and back on the boat by the end of the week. I guess I will have to use the powerboat this week.
After we haul out I will begin my winter work. This year I plan to rebuild the chart table on my Allied. That involves installing a new electrical panel. I am also going to do a bit of work on the engine in the sailboat. In the worst case that will include repowering. If I end up repowering I will completely redo the engine space including the major power wiring. I still have to finish out the interior of the new cabin house on the powerboat. So I have my winter projects pretty well defined. What do other plan to do over the seas
