Sail!

My season is just getting started!

That said I do plan on continuing the built in water tank project.

I was skeptical at first if the settee bunks could be used as water tanks. It took a lot of work but I got one built into the starboard side last year and it's been working perfectly. I had visions of the various ways it might fail but it seems to not have any issues.

I used a coating called Brew Coat to line the tank after fiberglassing everything with a couple layers of glass.

It's 60 gallons and one of the best additions to the boat. I can get another 50 on the port side and will have a good water supply, but have been taking time off from boat projects since this one was so much physical effort.

It's too bad my fuel tank is so small. That's going to be an issue long term, well at least until after the apocalypse when fuel isn't being refined any longer. Maybe a flexible tank kept in one of the mystery spaces below the cockpit will work there?
