That would mean no percolator coffee, no microwave, no air conditioning. I wouldn't survive.
We commute cruised for the last 5 years. We'd leave the boat completely disconnected from shore power. If we charged the batteries before we left (8-6 volt golf cart batteries and almost 900 amp hours total) I could come back to the boat in 3 months and the voltage would still be about 12.30.
We were in Trinidad at 'Crews Inn' for 3 months and during that time the marina was so hot it completely ate our heat exchanger tube stack and destroyed the aluminum housing. After that we decided to just disconnect the boat. No problems after that.
