I agree...

Thanks SG, mine is a Nordic 44.

I had two 1500 Watt heaters. I liked the ceramic safety heaters because they are self regulating - the hotter they get the less heat they produce so they don't get hot enough to start a fire. The oil filled ones are safe too but they take up a lot of space in a small boat.

I ran a separate 220 volt line to run the heaters. You can get what you need at the local Ironmongers (hardware stores). An issue I see for you is hot water. If you want hot water and you have no AC system you have a problem. If you still have the water heater wired you will need a transformer. Fortunately, in England transformers in nice weather resistant yellow fiberglass boxes are common. Their safety regulations require that outdoor tools be 110 volt so they sell transformers. I bought a 3KW transformer when we first hit Ireland. They make larger ones too. The 3KW is not 3KW continuous duty but is adequate for hot water and a battery charger.

There is a big catalog sales company in London - I forget the name, that sells them cheaper than at the Ironmongers.

Have you found your winter berth yet?
