Since 2002, we've had our Raymarine chart plotter set to show a 3 minute vector. It is a handy tool for helping to give lazy and recalcitrant crew (often me) time to get ready for tacking, etc.

Our Navionics charting on the iPad just gives a projection line out to the end of the display, still useful.
