Mostly Sailnet, sometimes Woodenboat.
Those same threads on Sailnet often are read 5 or 7 to one over here on the CSBB. And that's mostly in the first 24 to 36 hours.
For instance, the thread on light air sailing I posted here, 4 days ago, peaked at about 120 views, then fizzled out.
The same thread on Sailnet was read over 700 times in the first 24 hours, and has peaked at about 1500 reads. As you would expect, it got about the same ratio of replies.
My threads are usually not big reads over there. The controversial topics like anchors, rallies, gales, sinkings and rescues are the meat and potatoes.
Here's what I wonder,... Have we stunted the CSBB by staying with the old platform(an old controversial subject)? I think it has it's pluses, but does the old format discourage more activity? Do you want more activity?
Any thoughts on this old subject?
