Also consider putting vents in your washboards

In addition to pushing air into the boat via Dorades and solar vents, it's worth putting a louver in one of your washboards to help air escape. I made up a separate washboard for that purpose, made out of Lexan with a pair of SS louvers. I keep the original solid piece for passages.
