I have had the battery ones for 16 years
In Response To: I'd skip the vent with the battery. ()
and all I do is change the NI Cad battery once a year. Mine are c cell rechargeables and I buy them at Radio Shack.
Keep the boat in florida, stored in the water and closed up all summer, mold free.
