The problem with a paint as hard as Awlgrip is the fact that you cannot repair it. You must shoot the whole side of the boat again. Next time I will use something I can buff. The last thing I want is a boat that can't be fixed and am afraid of scratching.
I had a marina damage my Awlgrip after it was less than a year old. It can be upsetting to foot that bill. I chose not to, and the next time I was pinned to a dock with heavy winds, the little damage was easier to take.
I might consider Signature Finish. I have a friend with that and it looks great. Maybe not a strong, but can paint and buff sections and it looks perfect.
