I had a problem with Awlgrip.. not with the durability but with the color. I had my nonskid repainted by the best painter in Miami. The color came out a bid different than the sample chip. But we checked the number on the can it it was the same as the chip. To be sure it was not me I asked a half dozen folks at my club to look at the chip and at the paint to see if they agreed with me. All did. So I got in touch with the local Awlgrip rep who said that he'd come by and look at the boat. He did. While never removing his sun glasses, he looked at the chip and then at the paint and quickly said "It's the same" and walked away. How I felt is a good argument for a 5 day waiting period before allowing the purchase of an AK47.
I would never use Awlgrip again both for the result and for the lack of customer support. It is my understanding that Alex Seal was founded by the former Awlgrip owner once his non-compete clause had expired. I hear nothing but good things about it.
