And knowing Nantucket as many of us do(from sailing there), it was eery to imagine it all cut off like that. Locally we had reports from more remote islands like Matinicus. A woman there reports on the web and news. About 20 people on the island, they fend for themselves, an act of congress couldn't help them. However, they sound better adapted to their isolation than Nantucket, and take it in stride.
