Wow Tom memories brought back there. We were living up in Surry in our new home when this ice storm struck. We were without power for 11 days and me knucklehead didn't own a generator. We had a long driveway and we had the most unlucky thing happen where a huge tree limb broke off and shorted our service, other wise we would have been back up in 5-6 days. We did fine with 2 wood stoves but it was very scary. This experience helped drive me out of Maine. We were gone by summer of 99.
