This is Saglek Fiord, the furthest north I made it last summer, pretty much the southern boundary of the Torngat Mountains... Like sailing into Glacier National Park, the geology is strikingly similar to my eye. To give some sense of the scale of this place, that peak framing my boat is still almost SIX MILES away...
I wouldn't bother trying to find the short bit I'd written to accompany it, surely you know brevity is not my forte... (grin)
Bottom line was, how incredibly lucky I was to capture this moment... That day was probably the first time I'd seen full sun and a blue sky in almost 2 weeks, and it only lasted for a few hours... And within a minute of stopping to grab it, the breeze suddenly came up, began to ruffle the water, and spoil the effect...
