The new LNM is an eye-opener. My question is: What happens if you download chart updates? I'm thinking of services like Navionics Freshest Data. Navionics says "we make around 2,000 updates to our charts daily by integrating Notices to Mariners" -- I'm wondering what exactly that means. If a mark is listed as missing in the LNM, will it still show on the new chart in its original correct location? Do they somehow indicate that a light is currently extinguished?

It's going to be crazy out there this season. Have already seen moorings floating off to their higher destiny as speed bumps......
