Thanks for tracking that down.......If chart updates really only represent the "permanent" changes, that gives some comfort in terms of general navigational planning. But what do people do in the real world? Download the LNM PDF and make notes somehow? With paper charts, you could always do penciled annotations.

I am fantasizing about some future chartplotter tech that would indicate a temporary change -- maybe some graphic indication at a mark so you would know to hover the cursor and get a dated comment about the change.
