The primary reason we use it these days, is broadband. But a high speed wireless broadband just set up a new office in Camden, and Rockport paid for it's own fiberoptics line through town-for super high speed internet, outside my house.
Except for the local news station(for a half hour?), we don't watch any network stuff. Public TV is streaming now, movies on net flicks via a roku box.
I still have 2 telephone lines hanging off the house that haven't been used in nearly 10 years. I remember people saying you have to have a landline. I guess as soon as the cost for internet is the same or less, I'll be cutting a lot of wires away...
