It might have been .....

some skidding of that break?? Don't know for sure. I was surprised at how it looked!

HEY, we had an old DeSoto with a hemi also!! I told people it was armored, it felt that heavy!!!! I remember driving a few friends (as teenagers) to a lake in Wisconsin by back roads one time. I got it up around 100+ MPH when I thought I better slow it down a bit, I MASHED the breaks and it went up to about 110~120 before it started to slow down!!!! How did we ever survive?

We normally tow around 55 and some times up to 65 on this trip. What got me was the fire started after about 30 min of stop & go backup due to a fire off the right side of the road. We had not even gotten to 45 MPH when I saw the flames.

And, like the last tire failure, I never even felt any difference in the feel of the tow!!!
