Your photo is probably still very large even though it's compressed. Change the size with the slider or change the numbers to perhaps 700 pixels. It will show the kb. If it's above 100 then compress it till it's less than 100. I usually go with 80mb. After you save, it should be at the end of the 'camera roll' album.

You can access the 'Photo Resize' app within the edit area of 'Photos App.' on the left side ( little circle with dots ). Hit save and it will save it to your camera roll album where this website can find it.

I really like that you never need to leave the regular photos app to do anything.
