I was about to build an enclosure for my Ubiquity Bullet, so I could mount it permanently above the radar on the mizzen mast. I note that this Pro model already has a SS case with a 1" mount. A lot of money, still, by the time I engineer an aluminum or SS case, machine it, anodize it, it's about a wash in value.
But: the standard Ubiquity Bullet has a N connector on the top, this is considered to be fragile enough by most installers that the antenna itself is used to mount the device, with the Bullet screwed on the bottom. In other words, the N connector is only asked to support the weight of the short and light Bullet not the longish and heavy antenna. Looking at what pictures I can find of the RW Pro, it looks like it has the same N connector on top. That means that this connector will need to support the antenna, up on the mast, with a bit of whip and rock and roll going on.
So the question: is the Pro antenna connector sufficiently robust to take the antenna and not break off? At a little less than $400 that would be unfortunate....
