There seems to be a rash of odd things happening. The alternator and battery on the Admiral's Mazda SUV gave up early last week. "All you need to do" in order to replace the alternator is drop the front drive axle on the driver's side. We had the annual USCG inspection of the boats on Saturday, in the rain. Ours passed no problem although the foredeck light that worked fine at the end of last season now does not. While the inspector was inspecting my engine compartment I saw a bit of green on the oil absorbent pad under the diesel..???....coolant. My temperature sender is leaking out the front, looks like the hose to the heat exchanger has been rubbing on a bolt, another leak, the expansion tank was also dripping. On my way home to order new parts on line, the warning lights on my Dodge Ram dash all lit up.
I think all of these things that steve and I experienced are a sign. New weapon of electromagnetic waves? Solar vortex? I disturbance in the force? I dunno
By the way, I did our hot water tank one year ago. I'm convinced that the Island Packet designers never expected the original to fail.
