I live in Langley. I was just using the incident in Penn Cove to explain the derelict problem in WA. If you are moving here and have owned your boat more than seven years be sure to bring proof of that. You will save on taxes when registering here.
Oak Harbor is very good. The guy that runs it - Chris and his staff are very friendly and helpful. Langley marina is bad news. The harbor master is good but the port authority is nuts. It is tiny and mostly reserved for tourism. Winter dockage is available but it is the highest rate of the three closest marinas - Oak Harbor, Everett and Langley. They raised their rates more than 50% two years ago and the slips are empty all winter.
