At my current rate, it would take me 10-15 years to sail that far.

I found the gears and bearings were still lubed by the looks and feel. Actual use would trump time. Racers could really pile up actual winch use in little time. Seasonal coastal sailors could go quite a bit between service. Not the best practice but every season is overkill for most of us.
