Compared to your 2 part spray finish. Yours is an investment in a decade or more. These wooden boats will get painted more regularly. 2 or 3 years? Some, every season. Labor is very minimal per foot compared to your top notch 2 part app. Because the boats are painted more regularly, prep work is light as it's 'ongoing'.
And the actual painting with a couple painters, even with this big a boat, would be done in one day(the painters will pick their weather). Touch up is easy too. A big boat like this, a few days labor(staging, prep, brushing), a couple gallons of simple enamel for materials.
What's amazing to me is that most of this work looks sprayed on-maybe even smoother. This coating is impeccable up close, and they saved some $$ not going indoors.
In the end, it probably works out about the same $$ as a 10+ year two part but wood is always moving so that wouldn't work. The plus for these boats is, they can look sparkling new every couple years(annually for some), for a relatively small investment. Sort of ironic. Still, 'sparkling new' isn't cheap on an older boat.
