There's nothing more painful than having to power to windward. Off for 6 weeks, was she heavily loaded?
I think the J35 is quite a deal these days. I keep thinking you could do some sort of conversion below that would make it a good daysailer and 'weekender'. Some shortcomings but at 20-30k, it's a 10% $ substitute for a Morris DS 36.

- Spartan boat interiors are a boon to sailing for me. Less...."stuff" to complicate the boating.
