I paid $60 including shipping for the hunk of teak 12 years ago, I got two fender boards from the stock. It's probably about 3" x 3" x 4 feet long or so. I drilled holes on either end, and have lines from there I tie to a lifeline. Simple. The teak rests against two fenders on either side of the hull. We will pivot on a piling when at a dock. I tie it to the handrail when not in use. It looks about the same as it did when I made it, I haven't done anything to it, I can't imagine it will look any different over the next 12 years. No complaints, it works and looks great all cobby. Cheers, John
