We love our Sabre! We too are sad...

...that they stopped building the sailboats, we are proud to be members of the last class!
I will argue that price has little to do with the demise of the beautiful line. Hinckleys were always expensive, Morris too was a stretch for most people. Our Whistler 32 was the least expensive 32 Cro ever sold and it was $80,000 in 1982...Things are not looking good for the "lower price" new sailboat manufacturers either... Hunter, Catalina et all are experiencing much lower sales volume today...

I think that sailing is a pastime that is in serious decline...

The best defense to my argument are the numbers of new powerboats Sabre is building and selling. They are more expensive on a dollar per foot basis than the sailboats were and they are in great demand!
