Sabre rendezvous in Rockand

Rockland is the place for museums fine dining and wonderful shops all nestled against Hamilton Marine and a easy harbor to either anchor, get a slip of moor. The Sabre Yachts organization had a "gam" a year in the planing featuring lobster dinners, blueberry pancakes and buses to tour the sites. It was well worth the registration fee. Noted "axe murderer" David Evens drove up from Onset to bunk in the aft cabin on Leslie Kay.
He turned out not to be the shy retiring sailor and systems programmer he pretends to be but an ambassador of all the sailors to the rest of the power boat attendees.
We had a nice time. It's clear however that Sabre has turn the page. We sailors were hardly given anything other then polite hellos. The glad handing went to the high rollers. The electrical seminar was about modules installed in the 60 + foot boats.
The best demo was fiber glass repair. A guy with "throttle" tattooed on one arm and " shift" on the other beat up two fibergass panels and then repairs them to better than new condition. Incredible!
Nice weather topped off the weekend
Tom young was seen in "eve" rowing around the cove taking pictures of the harbor dog contests. He didn't see me dispute my screams.
Journeys end gets good reviews for cleanliness but not office staff. See my review onxActive Captain.
End results 10 out of 10. A good experience.
