A Sabre 38 express burns more like 16-20 gph at cruise of 20 knots = 1 mpg compared to 15-20 mpg for your sailboat under power. The bigger boats burn more fuel. Lots more.
The guy in the slip next to me has a Sabre 38 express. A typical weekend for him is 200+ gallons.
