My 34 foot sailboat got $23000 worth of damage in Belfast this June from a 24 foot sailboat whose mooring failed( swivel nut not welded) dragged its top chain till it fowled my mooring and pounded on my boat all night. The guy had no insurance so my insurance paid for most of the damage, but my company is trying to squeeze some cash out of the " self insured" boat owner.
