Haulers are scheduled despite the weather. The Goose River that feeds our harbor, was nearly dry above the high tide line yesterday. Today it was running so powerfully, it was hard for this boat to reach the ramp, upstream. Once the ramp was a beam, it didn't have the power to make the turn. The river current, way over powering the strong tide, kept washing it into the dock.
It took the hauler on a bow line and laying the hull against the protected corner of the dock, plus lots of throttle, to jack the hull around the turn. They finally got it into the slot and onto the trailer. I felt sorry for anyone hauling a boat today.
