in Avalon Ca. We were skin diving in 20 feet when it swam by. Also, last month when we pulled in to Avalon we heard on the vhf that there was an 8 foot hammer head in the mooring field at Hen Rock about three miles up the island. Pretty uncommon around here. The water is quite warm this year. We'll be here another month but haven't seen the water tempature start to drop yet during this past month. I wonder how long it will hold?
