So I've had the boat moved to the PNW... and since the mast was pulled... well, it was time to take care of deferred maintenance... (way deferred... considering that the standing rigging was over 15 years old)
Part of that work was removing and inspecting the chainplates... off the 6, 2 were cracked. They are being remade. The rest are being polished. All the attachment plates on the mast are being pulled, inspected and polished. The mast has been stripped, and painted. All standing rigging is being replaced. And a lot of paint is being done.
She will be like a new boat from the deck on up.
The yard mentioned that they had never had a PSC Orion in for work before... and now, this year, 3 show up. Kinda interesting, comparing lines and details of the boats from different years.
