They were simply bolted thru the bottom of the FRP stub. There doesn't seem to be much structure to carry the load or distribute it throughout the hull. I would like to see the bolts run thru solid floors that are part of a grid of frames and longitudinals connecting the mast step, keel, chainplates.etc. But then, I'm old fashioned.
