Started buying in the late 70s when I got my first boat. Last year was the first time I didn't get it, because I hadn't opened it this century and I finally decided I don't need it for backup to my electronics. I still have the paper charts aboard that I last purchased around 2001, but most of info in the charts doesn't go stale as fast as Eldridge's. I don't look at them either, except once in a while.

We still look at paper cruising guides, but ActiveCaptain also supplements those.
