Maybe they aren't much for salt air? Curious most sea monster sightings are inland too.

Where as it's hard to reconcile an unknown creature in a locked water body like Loch Ness or Lake Champlain(Champ), it's conceivable - even logical - that species go undiscovered in the vast ocean. Yet we don't seem to have many unknown creature sightings along the coast.
Perhaps the lack of sea sightings of unknown creatures are because our reality of whales and sharks alone are scary enough?
