I have seen it in operation a couple of times and it looked pretty good. Its long range performance was great. My friend particularly likes the systems ability to image flocks of birds (he is a sport fisherman). As far as its close in performance, I would say it wasn't as good as my broadband radar. The system is a power hog though and a bit noisy, although you wouldn't hear it underway on a sport fisher (where the power consumption wouldn't matter) with a fly bridge helm or from an inside helm.
