5 oz is generally described as the "standard"

Most restaurants or bars would serve a little more than that.
5 oz is about five glasses per 750 ml bottle. I think that many restaurant would get more like four per bottle.
I think if you have a little, dinky glass that you expect to be topped up, you're drinking in the wrong places ;^))))
