Your reasoning makes sense. The hull was laid up in 2 halves. It is curious to me why it spread now but when I grind if I see any evidence of hull separation then I will grind back and glass. It has been my experience that I over build and over engineer my boat projects... as do most of the regular members of this board. And as Bobby Weir said "too much of everything is just enough" Perhaps this time I will do less but I will examine act and report back. Thanks again for the feedback. We are winding down our summer off the boat in Portugal but increasingly thinking sailing and Mexico.
