Coming in from the Gulf Of Mexico, after 30 hours offshore, running down wind

wife went below and stepped into 7 inches of water. Turns out the bilge pump was back siphoning into the bilge. Pumped out and all was fine. The pump now outlets in the cockpit where I can SEE if it's pumping more than it should- which is nada
