I saw the new (now operational?) wind-turbine towers south of Block Island on my may from Newport to Annapolis. I hope they have lights low, I'd hate to hit them in the fog, rain, or moonless night because you didn't see the tall light(s).

I'm not a fan of them (pun partially intended). ;^))) You wouldn't put them on the Grand Canyon, Grand Tetons, Mt. Rushmore, would you?
